Helen Solomon

British author of whom I can find little information. Has written a few children's novels, mainly aimed at younger children, although Stranded at Staffna is not. A couple of the titles including Staffna were pony-related.

Pony Books:

A PONY FROM THE PIT
(GOOD READING 1976)
ILLUSTRATED BY VICTOR AMBRUS

STRANDED AT STAFFNA
(GOOD READING 1979)
ILLUSTRATED BY GARETH FLOYD
Reprinted in hardback
SUMMARY: Adventure with some horse content. A family on their way to a Scottish holiday destination are stranded on an island, which leads to them solving a mystery from the 1940s.

Collector's info:
Stranded at Staffna is fairly easy to find in the UK, the other title is harder. Neither books are easily found elsewhere.
